Trader Joe’s Thai Peanut Satay Sauce

Published: Mar 5, 2025 · Modified: May 16, 2025 by Tatiana · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Alright, I love a good peanut sauce, so I was excited to try Trader Joe’s Thai Peanut Satay Sauce—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It’s creamy, nutty, slightly sweet, and just the right amount of fancy takeout vibes without me having to leave my kitchen. I first used it as a dipping sauce for the Costco chicken skewers (because why not mix my favorites from both stores?), and now I keep finding new excuses to slather it on everything.

Taste & Texture

This sauce is rich, peanutty, and a little sweet, with a tiny hint of coconut and a gentle tang from the tamarind. The spice level? Very mild, which is great if you’re not into heat, but if you like things spicy, you might need to throw in some chili flakes or Sriracha. The consistency is thick but pourable, making it perfect for dipping, drizzling, or full-on drowning your food in peanut goodness.

Other sauces and dips to try: Trader Joe’s Garlic Spread Dip, Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar Cheese Spread.

How We Used It

  • Dipping sauce for Costco chicken skewers – 10/10, would dip again.
  • Tossed with noodles – Instant “homemade” Thai peanut noodles (that required basically zero effort).
  • Salad dressing – Mixed with a little lime juice and tossed over a cabbage slaw.
  • Straight off the spoon – Not ashamed.

Final Verdict

This Thai Peanut Satay Sauce is basically a shortcut to making everything taste like your favorite Thai takeout. It’s creamy, delicious, and ridiculously versatile. If you love peanut sauce, you’ll want to keep this in your fridge at all times.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It’s now a permanent resident in my fridge.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – Smooth, peanutty, and makes everything taste better.
